MANCHESTER — The Manchester Police Department is investigating the unauthorized use of the mayor’s office at City Hall late Thursday night.
The investigation was prompted after at least two aldermen reported receiving calls from the mayor’s office close to midnight Thursday.
City Hall was locked at the time.
Mayor Ted Gatsas said it appeared that someone had gained access through an electronic key fob.
Gatsas said he wasn’t there at the time.
“I work hard, but I’m not here that late,” he said Monday.
Sgt. Sean Leighton of the Manchester Police Department’s detective squad confirmed that police received a report about the late-night calls.
He said police are investigating.
Leighton said Monday night he is not the detective on the case, and could give no further details.
