2 teens charged in BB spree in Nashua and Hudson

Brandon Houle ...arrested in Nashua BB-gun shooting spree

NASHUA — Police have arrested two teens they believe are responsible for BB gun damage to nearly 50 vehicles in Nashua and Hudson last weekend.

A description of the green Honda Civic involved in the vandalism helped police locate the vehicle Tuesday night, Lt. Denis Linehan said.

Police spoke with two individuals occupying the vehicle, and were able to gain evidence from the BB gun shootings, Linehan said. On Wednesday, police issued arrest warrants for Elijah Williams, 18, of 4 Holman St., and Brandon Houle, 18, of 188 Concord St., apt. 3.

“It appears they are responsible for a lot of the damage,” Linehan said.

Dozens of parked vehicles at various condo complexes off Route 101A and Spit Brook Road were hit by the BB pellets Friday night into Saturday morning, along with vehicles parked near Nashua Municipal Airport, according to police.

“I know there were other areas that were hit also,” Linehan said.

“In today’s world that we live in, anytime you are in a particular neighborhood — especially in the night-time hours and sticking a gun out of a window to shoot — if someone sees this gun come out, they don’t know if it is a real gun or a pellet gun and things can get elevated very quickly,” Linehan said.

While a shattered windshield may seem like minor property damage, Linehan said it can be quite inconvenient for vehicle owners to fix the damage and pay for the repairs.

“There were so many incidents, so we are trying to get a better handle on how to properly charge them,” Linehan said of the teens.

As of Wednesday, they were both charged with felony criminal mischief (consolidated) for the incidents.

At least one BB gun has been seized by authorities.

Authorities in Hooksett are investigating an incident in which three cars parked at Dubes Pond in Hooksett had their windows shot out early Sunday, possibly with a .22-caliber gun.

Linehan said he does not believe the Hooksett incident is connected with the BB gun shooting spree in Nashua and Hudson.
