Bauer CEO named EY Entrepreneur of Year
As the regional award winner in the retail and consumer products category, Davis was selected from a group of more than 30 finalists and will now be considered for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year national program.
“Although the award recognizes individuals, no one person can accomplish what we have, including seven acquisitions since 2008,” Davis said.
Davis, a native of New Hampshire and graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, has worked for the company for more than 12 years. During his tenure as president and CEO, the company was sold from Nike to a private equity group, went public on the Toronto Stock Exchange, completed seven strategic acquisitions and nearly tripled revenue to nearly $600 million.
Davis has led expansion of Bauer’s hockey platform into other sports and businesses, including roller hockey, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, softball and related sports apparel.
