Burglars hit Manchester businesses

MANCHESTER — Police are investigating three burglaries at different city businesses Saturday morning.

The first they responded to was at Kay’s Bakery, 443 Lake Ave., at about 6 a.m. The glass on a door was shattered and some food and a television were stolen.

The second was at the Canadian Club, 128 S. Main St., at about 8 a.m. The back door was pried open and an ATM in the club was forced open, as well as an office and custodial closet.

The last was at Vargas Hair Salon at about 10:30 a.m. The owner of the salon reported a laptop computer, 32-inch television and a modem missing. It was unclear how the business was broken into.
