PSNH seeks residential rate cut

June 16. 2014 10:42AM

MANCHESTER — Residential customers of Public Service of New Hampshire would see their bills drop starting July 1 under a proposed rate cut, the utility said Monday.

PSNH is asking state regulators to approve the reduction.

An average PSNH residential customer using 500 kilowatt hours of energy would see its monthly bill cut by 31 cents, to $91.68, if the state Public Utilities Commission approves the July 1 rate adjustment, the utility said.

In May, PSNH had indicated it expected to ask for a rate hike that would have raised the monthly bill to $93.55.
