Medicaid expansion allows for new signups July 1
CONCORD — New Hampshire residents who are eligible for Medicaid under the new rules approved by the state Legislature — can begin applying on July 1 for health insurance coverage that begins on Aug. 15 — state officials announced Monday.
Qualifying households include a household of one with a monthly income of $1,342; a household of two with a monthly income of $1,809; a household of three with a monthly income limit of $2,276; and a household of four with a monthly income of $2,743.
The Department of Health and Human Services is holding a series of informational sessions around the state to provide additional details about the program. All sessions run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the following locations:
-- Claremont, June 18, River Valley Community College, 1 College Drive.
-- Derry, June 24, Municipal Center, 14 Manning St.
-- Dover, June 26, Dover Middle School, 16 Daley Drive.
-- Nashua, June 19, Nashua High South, 36 Riverside Drive.
-- Portsmouth, July 1, Portsmouth Public Library, 175 Parrott Ave.
