Pats release UNH product Auffray
The New England Patriots released first-year tight end Kyle Auffray, the team announced Monday.
Auffray, 27, was signed by the Patriots on June 9. He originally was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as a rookie free agent on May 13, 2013, out of the University of New Hampshire but was released by the team two months later.
The 6-foot-5, 254-pounder began his collegiate career at Mississippi State from 2006-07 as a quarterback but did not see any game action. He transferred to UNH where he played in 16 games over two seasons.
