Information may come Friday in death of 4-month old boy and serious injuries to twin sister

It was quiet Thursday afternoon at 310 Quebec Road in Lyman where early Wednesday morning authorities responded to a report of a four-month old boy in “medical distress." (JOHN KOZIOL/Union Leader Correspondent)

LYMAN — The Attorney General’s Office may release more information today about how a 4-month old boy — who later died — and his twin sister suffered severe injuries at home on Wednesday.

At 4:51 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said an adult male and adult female placed a 911 call saying their infant son was in medical distress at their residence at 310 Quebec Road.

Upon arrival, emergency responders also found that the boy’s sister was hurt and took both infants to a local hospital where the boy was pronounced dead. The girl remained in serious condition as of late Thursday morning, according to Jeffery Strelzin, chief of the Attorney General’s Homicide Unit.

While the State Police Major Crime Unit completed its investigation at the Quebec Road house Thursday, Strelzin said the case was still being investigated. He declined to identify the victims or their parents. Strelzin said no arrests have been made.

Quebec Road runs roughly southwest through a rural area between Lyman and Clough Hill roads. The home where the incident occurred is just east of Mutt Road, on the north side of the street.

Although a red Nissan Sentra sat outside the cape cod-style home, the house appeared empty and no one answered despite repeated calls and knocks on the door.
