LOUDON — For Trevor Chiappisi, racing motorcycles is everything.
Chiappisi, a co-owner of Argo Cycles in Raymond, sells racing bikes, he rides them for fun, and he rides in amateur motard and motocross races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and elsewhere in the state. He’s won the past two years.
On Sunday, as the speedway held its Motard races, he rode with the number 1 on his bike’s front, and he will wear that number proudly again next year, as he took first place in the Motard race with a best lap of 1:19:03.
“It’s a lifestyle. I live and breathe it,” Chiappisi said.
A motard is a motocross bike made for a track.
“Motocross requires you to drive more carefully,” he said. “This sport gives you higher speeds,” said Chiappisi, whose bike crossed the 100-miles-per-hour mark a few times Sunday, he said.
Finishing second on the race was Matt Gendron of Deerfield, who had a best lap of 1:19:021, but was edged out by Chiappisi.
