MANCHESTER — Bob Baines, former mayor of Manchester and principal of Manchester High School West, has been tapped to serve as director of Dyn’s newly formed community relations department, which will be an evolution of DynCares, the company’s philanthropic arm.
Dyn, an Internet performance company based in the Manchester Millyard, said the community relations team will work on technology, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education and workforce development and entrepreneurship in New England.
Those efforts will include such initiatives as STEAM Ahead NH, the Technology & Innovation Academy at SEE and scholastic course offerings and partnerships with the Alpha Loft, the New Hampshire High Tech Council, and others in the nonprofit and tech community, the company said.
“Dyn is a unique company in that the more it succeeds, the more it gives back,” said Baines, whose resume also includes serving as president of Chester College of New England. “The company’s leadership team cares about New England and is committed to making it the best place possible — not only today but for generations to come.”
