Murdered Madbury teen was facing drug charge
MADBURY — Authorities on Tuesday released no new information in the murder of Aaron Wilkinson.
Wilkinson, 18, was killed over the weekend. His body was found in Lebanon, Maine, on Saturday. New Hampshire authorities are the lead investigators because the crime is believed to have happened in New Hampshire.
Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffery A. Strelzin, the state’s head homicide prosecutor, said his office is not yet prepared to say where the murder happened or if a weapon has been recovered. He did not say if authorities had developed leads or identified suspects.
“I can’t answer those questions,” he said.
Aaron Wilkinson was indicted by a Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury in March on drug charges. Exeter police arrested him on Nov. 10. Wilkinson pleaded not guilty in the case and was headed to trial later this year. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and two counts of a controlled drug for allegedly having cocaine and psilocin, according to indictments.
