State Police: Goffstown man with suspended license drove to state police headquarters

CONCORD – If the state suspended your driver's license and your car is supposed to be fitted with an ignition interlock device, it's probably not the best idea to drive to the state Department of Safety's headquarters and park behind a state police car.

According to state police, that's pretty much what Robert McClory, 30, of Goffstown did.

Police said McClory parked behind Trooper Stephanie Bosch's marked police cruiser Tuesday afternoon at the Department of Safety.

Bosch, of Troop G, was at the Bureau of Hearings to serve habitual offender notices, which are given to drivers whose records are under review to determine if they qualify for an extended license suspension because they pose a danger to the public.

The first driver she served the papers to was McClory, who she recognized as the driver who parked behind her cruiser earlier in the afternoon.

She learned McClory's license was under suspension and that he was required to have an ignition interlock device installed in his car.

McClory was arrested and charged with circumvention of an alcohol ignition interlock device and operating after suspension.

His bail is $3,000 personal recognizance, pending arraignment Aug. 4 in 6th Circuit Court, Concord District Division.
