UPDATED: Power restored after 2,000 customers go without in Manchester's downtown

MANCHESTER — About 2,000 PNSH customers along River Road and Elm Street, from Brook Street to Merrimack Street, were without power for part of Friday morning.

PSNH spokesman Martin Murray said the outage happened about 10 a.m. Friday. PSNH reported crews had restored it by about 11 a.m.

The electrical problem was tracked to a West Brook Street sub-station, he said, but he did not know what caused the outage. He expected to learn that later today.

He said customers along River Road and Elm Street, from Brook Street to Merrimack Street, as well as on streets perpendicular to Elm Street, were affected.
