Undefeated Trombly wins East Little League minor crown

Bill Trombly Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning beat Elliot Heath Care and Quirk Auto to capture the Manchester East Little League Minor Division title.

In Game 1, Trombly defeated Elliot, 14-5. Trombly rallied from behind, sending 14 players to the plate and scoring nine runs in the top of the seventh. Jacob Burke, Tiago Mendes and Andrew Wall all went 2-for-3 and combined for nine runs batted in. Elliot hitting was led by Griffin Logue (3-for-3) and Nick Hughen (2-for-2).

In Game 2, Trombly beat Quirk in eight innings. Pitcher Seth Raymond threw 76 pitches in 5-plus innings, with Brady Fullam coming in for relief.

Burke powered Trombly’s offense, going 4-for-4 with three doubles and a triple. Nicholas Infantino and Raymond each added two hits. Ryan Cunningham, Tyler Telge and Owen Stranson all logged two hits for team Quirk.

In Game 3, Trombly beat Elliot, 6-5, thanks to good defense by Raymond, Jack Rosenthall, Wall and Burke. The big blow was a three-run double by Raymond, giving the winners their margin of victory.

Elliot was led by the pitching and hitting of Koko Chisosky and Colin Fields, both of whom went 3-for-3.
