Pinkerton students volunteer in community

DERRY - More than 50 Pinkerton Academy students recently volunteered at community nonprofits as part of the annual "Youth Day of Giving Back" event organized by the school and The Upper Room, a Family Resource Center. The students' efforts ranged from cleaning food pantry kitchens to disinfecting children's toys to washing windows. The beneficiaries were The Upper Room, Camp Carpenter, Community Caregivers, Derry History Museum, Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Southern N.H. Montessori Academy and Vintage Grace.

"The Youth Day of Giving Back is a great opportunity for our students to get involved in their community," said Roger Konstant, associate dean of students.
