Man arrested after chase in Manchester

MANCHESTER — Police called to a break-in at an apartment on Dutton Street arrested a man after a brief foot chase.

A caller reported hearing a man entering the apartment through a window at 4 Dutton St. Police said officer Ryan Heile found a man inside the apartment matching the description left by the caller.

Heile began questioning the man and said he was evasive while being questioned, then dashed out of the building. The brief pursuit ended on Maple Street, where Tarik Holmes, 37, of Manchester, was arrested. Officers later determined Holmes was in the building looking for his ex-girlfriend. He was charged with stalking, criminal tresspass, resisting arrest/detention and possession of a controlled drug.
