Police: Man was in road, shouting out profanities

MANCHESTER — A man who was walking in the middle of a street while shouting profanities was charged with disorderly conduct, police said.

Two officers patrolling on mountain bikes saw David Hatch, 30, walking in the roadway around 12:30 a.m. Saturday and directing obscenities to the officers. They stopped and requested his identification based on the violation of being a pedestrian in the roadway.

Police say Hatch continued his profane ranting and was arrested after offending two women who walked by the scene.

Hatch was taken to Hillsborough County jail for not complying while officer tried to book him. He also refused to have his photograph taken, police said.
