New indictment for woman facing child porn charges

NEWPORT — The Sullivan County Grand Jury indicted a Claremont woman, who is accused of molesting two toddlers and making child pornography, with additional charges last week.

Ashley Blood, 25, and her husband Kevin Blood, 25, of 4 Hanover Street in Claremont, were arrested on multiple charges last year.

Ashley Blood is currently being held at the Sullivan County House of Corrections in Unity awaiting trial on two counts of manufacturing images or video of child pornography, and one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

She was indicted on the charges in December.

Last week the grand jury convened in the Sullivan County Superior Court in Newport and indicted her on an additional count of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

Kevin Blood was indicted on seven charges by the grand jury in December — two counts of manufacturing of child sex abuse images and five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault charges on two victims ages one and four years old between Nov. 1 and Nov. 25.

The child pornography charges carry the penalty of 15 to 30 years in state prison and a $4,000 fine.

The sexual assault charges carry a prison sentence of 10 to 20 years and a $4,000 fine.

The Bloods were arrested by Claremont police Dec. 5 after an 11-day investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse against the couple. Antrim police, the Grafton and Sullivan Child Advocacy Center and the New Hampshire Division of for Children Youth and Family assisted in the investigation, according to Claremont police.
