Halfway house walkaway found

MANCHESTER — A man wanted on an escape warrant after walking away from a halfway house was picked up during a traffic stop.

Michael Matteuzzi, 32, of Weare, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over around 12:20 a.m. Monday near the corner of Beech and Valley streets. Police said Matteuzzi had been wanted since walking away from Calumet House nearly two weeks before.

Police said he was taken into custody without incident.
