Dover man charged with Residence Inn robbery

ROCHESTER — Police have arrested a second person in connection with the June 15 robbery of a patron at the Rochester Residence Inn.

Okiemute Omatie, 19, of 28 Fifth St., Dover, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a warrant charging him with robbery, a class B felony.

Shortly after the robbery, police arrested Tasha Loaiza, 21, of Rochester and charged her with robbery as well.

A woman was robbed about 10:30 a.m. on Father’s Day while she was at the inn located at 182 Milton Road.

She told police she let a woman she knows into her room and a man she didn’t know walked in behind her.

The man pulled out a knife, and both of them threatened the woman while asking for drugs and money, police said.

Loaiza is accused of stealing a tablet computer and money.

Omatie was being held on $10,000 cash bail pending arraignment.

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
