Conway car dealer turns heads with two-faced truck
This “two-faced truck” — actually two Ford F150's whose cabs were spliced together – continues to generate interest at Macdonald Motors in Center Conway. (JOHN KOZIOL/Union Leader Correspondent)
“I call it my two-face truck,” said Bob Macdonald, recalling that years ago he took a 1986 Ford F150 with a rusty bed in trade. He parked the pickup in front of his business’s body shop.
One day — while running errands in his own 1987 F150 — he had an epiphany.
“I went to my body shop manager and I said I want to take out the two bodies," he said. "It took him quite a while, but he got it set up. The most expensive part was redoing the driveshaft.”
“It brings quite a bit of attention,” said Macdonald, “and I’ve never had a negative (comment) about it at all.”
