Manchester man arrested for attempted robbery in Laconia

LACONIA — Police arrested a Manchester man for allegedly grabbing a man by the arm on Main Street and ordering him to empty his pockets.

Police who responded to the reported disturbance said Christopher Skinner, 18, of 349 Walnut St., also pushed the victim and attempted to punch him.

Skinner was charged with robbery and false report to law enforcement for giving a false name and date of birth when he was taken into custody.

Skinner declined the services of a bail commissioner and was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in Circuit Court-Laconia District Division.
