Walsh paces Sweeney Post past Laconia

Connor Walsh collected three hits including a solo homer and a two-run double to lead Sweeney Post of Manchester to an 11-3 victory against Laconia Wednesday at Memorial Park in a District A American Legion contest. The game was called after six innings because of rain. Sweeney raised its record to 11-3.

Nolan Flynn and Ryan Boldwin each had two hits for Sweeney which had 12 hits. Winning pitcher Walsh went the six innings allowing five hits and two walks. He fanned six. Sweeney will host Plymouth Friday at 7 p.m. at Gill Stadium.

Derry 9, Nashua 4 (Tuesday): Joey Murphy highlighted a 12-hit attack with three hits to lead Derry past Nashua. Chase Stears had two RBIs for Derry and teammates Larry Cahill, Austin Hall and Chris Gerossie each had two hits. Gerossie got the mound win, allowing two hits and three walks over six innings. He fanned three.
