Two vehicle crash in Milton ends with one driver sustaining fatal injuries

MILTON - New Hampshire State Police responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 16 in the town of Milton on Friday, approximately at 4:18 p.m.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident, a Honda Civic and a Dodge pick-up truck. Police who were on scene were able to determine that the car was traveling southbound and the pick-up truck, was heading north, and that the car crossed the center line colliding with the pick-up truck. 

The operator of the Honda Accord, a 29-year-old from Wakefield, LeeAnna Cormier, sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. 

The operator of the pick-up truck, Steven Geyer, 56, of Moultonborough, was transported to Frisbee Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation. In addition to the State Police at the scene, the Milton Police Department, the Milton Fire Department, Middleton Police Department and the NH Department of Transportation were on hand to assist.

The NH State Police is asking those that may have witnessed the crash to contact the NH State Police Troop-A Barracks at 223-8490.
