Fisher Cats' Pompey gets two hits in Futures Game

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats’ Dalton Pompey batted leadoff and collected two hits and scored a run for the World team in its 3-2 loss to the U.S. in the Futures Game on Sunday at Target Field in Minneapolis.

Cubs prospect Javier Baez hit a two-run homer for the World team, Joey Gallo a two-run shot for the U.S.

The Portland Sea Dogs’ Henry Owens started for the U.S. team and pitched one scoreless inning, allowing one hit. The Sea Dogs’ Sean Coyle went 0-for-2 for the U.S.
