Nashua man charged with robbery after mall incident


NASHUA — Denis Velez, 33, of 90½ Pine St., was scheduled for arraignment Monday in Ninth Circuit Courth-Nashua District Division on a felony charge of robbery.

Police responded Friday to the Pheasant Lane Mall for a report of a shoplifter armed with a knife fleeing the Target store.

Based on the description of the shoplifter, police were able to identify and arrest Velez.

As a result of information gathered during the investigation, Velez was charged with a felony.

Bail was set at $7,500 cash/surety pending his court appearance.
