Boy injured on bicycle, hit by pickup in Keene

KEENE — A 12-year-old boy was injured Friday when he was hit by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle, police said.

The boy was biking west across Washington Street about 3:15 p.m. Friday when he was hit by the truck, which was heading south on Washington Street, police said in a release.

The boy, who was found lying face down a few feet from the truck, was flown to a Worcester, Mass., hospital, where he was in stable condition Friday night, police said.

Police did not provide the name of the pickup truck driver in the release and Sgt. Mike Copcha refused to release the driver’s name Friday night.
