Andy Burns belted a two-run homer and Derrick Chung added a two-run single for New Hampshire, which opened a seven-game road trip with a 5-3 Eastern League victory over Harrisburg (Pa.) at Metro Bank Park Thursday.
The Fisher Cats (49-56) were led by Dalton Pompey, Chung, Burns and Sean Ochinko, each of whom had two hits.
Burns provided New Hampshire with a 2-0 first inning lead when he connected for his 11th homer of the season with Chung aboard.
Jon Berti padded the lead to 3-0 with his sixth homer in the third inning. The lead swelled to 5-0 in the seventh inning when Chung plated Pompey and Andy Fermin with a two-run base hit.
Daniel Norris (2-1) gained the win for New Hampshire. In five innings, he allowed two hits, no runs, four walks and fanned six.
Dustin Antolin kept the shutout intact through the seventh inning. In two frames, he allowed two hits, no walks and fanned two batters. All the runs scored by Harrisburg were charged to New Hampshire reliever Tyler Ybarra. Gregory Infante got the final four outs for his 15th save.
