Cornish man charged with manslaughter in deadly Merrimack dump truck collision
MERRIMACK — A Cornish truck driver is charged with manslaughter in the death of a Nashua woman earlier this month in a collision with his dump truck on Route 101A.
Kyle Witty, 43, of 4 Squag City Road is free on $50,000 personal recognizance bail pending arraignment July 29 in 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack District Division.
Elizabeth McQuinn, 60, died in the crash when Witty's dump truck collided with her SUV.
The crash happened at 5:58 a.m. on July 16 at the intersection of Route 101A and Continental Boulevard. Police said Witty, who was traveling east, ran a red light, causing the collision.
McQuinn died at the scene.
Manslaughter is punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
When it involves the death of another person, the court may indefinitely revoke the license of the responsible party.
