July 27. 2014 7:59PM

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Cory Aldridge hit a pinch-homer in the top of the ninth to tie the game and homered again in the 12th to give the Fisher Cats a 9-6 lead Sunday, but the game with the Senators was suspended with Harrisburg batting in the bottom of the frame when thunderstorms hit the area.

The game will be completed when Harrisburg comes to New Hampshire at the end of August. Harrisburg has scored one run and will have a man at second base in the bottom of the 12th, trailing 9-7.

Aldridge’s first long ball was the first pinch-hit home run for the Fisher Cats in more than five years. In the top of the 12th, after two were out, Derrick Chung singled and Andy Fermin knocked him in for a 7-6 lead. Aldridge followed with his second home run of the game.

The teams battled back and forth, with the Fisher Cats up 4-2 heading to the bottom of the eighth inning. Kevin Keyes homered for Harrisburg to make it 4-3. After Quincy Latimore singled, catcher Brian Jeroloman drilled a two-run homer off former teammate Randy Boone to make it 5-4 Harrisburg.

New Hampshire went ahead in the top of the ninth. Aldridge homered to tie the game. Dalton Pompey then singled, moved to second on an errant pick throw, went to third on a Jon Berti bunt, scoring on a sacrifice fly by Matt Newman.

Harrisburg tied the game in the bottom of the ninth on a single by Drew Vettleson and a double by Matt Skole. Skole was later thrown out at the plate by Newman trying to score the winning run on a single by Keyes.

The road trip continues in Binghamton on Monday at 6:35 p.m. The Mets will start lefty Steven Matz (4-1, 2.75). The Fisher Cats have not announced a starter.
