Nashua man arrested in Brookline stabbing
BROOKLINE -- A Nashua man is charged with first-degree assault in the stabbing of a 25-year-old man during a house party Sunday afternoon on Laurel Crest Drive.
Leonardo Barroso, 21, of 525 Amherst St., Apt. E33, is being detained on $50,000 cash bail pending arraignment Monday morning in 9th Circuit Court, Milford District Division.
Police were called about 1:30 p.m. Sunday for a reported stabbing at 39 Laurel Crest Drive. A 25-year-old man, formerly of Brookline, was stabbed, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police, who did not identify the victim in a news release. He was treated at a local hospital.
Barroso was arrested without incident after he arrived at the police department for an issue unrelated to the stabbing.
He is held at Valley Street jail in Manchester pending arraignment.
