Dover won the state title, but Bedford is still going to the regionals.

Bryan Fyfe drew a bases loaded walk to score Andrew Fyfe in the 10th inning to give Bedford an 8-7 win against Lebanon in the semifinals of the New Hampshire State American Legion Junior Baseball Tournament at Manchester’s Gill Stadium on Wednesday.

In the championship game, Dover defeated Bedford 10-0 in a five-inning contest halted by the 10-run mercy rule. Dover ended up capturing the state senior and junior legion titles this summer. Dover defeated Derry 3-2 on Wednesday at Nashua’s Holman Stadium to win the senior crown.

Bedford enters the Junior Regional Tournament at Gill Stadium (Aug. 9-11) as the state champ and Bedford enters as the state runner-up team.

In the semifinal game, Bedford’s Colby St. Pierre and Bryan Fyfe each scored in the first inning as Lebanon committed two errors in that inning. Lebanon’s defense committed five errors in the game.

Lebanon made it 2-1 in the third inning when Chase Hussey’s sacrifice fly plated Bill Smith who doubled to start the inning.

Cody Morel, Bedford’s clean-up hitter, highlighted a three-run third inning rally with a two-run single, padding Bedford’s lead to 5-1.

Lebanon tied the game 5-5 in the fourth inning with four runs. Three of them were provided by Steve Cerrone who clouted a three-run triple. He later scored on an error.

Bedford regained a 6-5 lead in the fourth inning when Nate Proulx scored on a wild pitch. Lebanon tied the game 6-6 in the sixth inning when Leverett Byrd singled home Cerrone.
