Londonderry man faces felony charges for alleged poisoning attempt of relatives
LONDONDERRY — A Londonderry man faces felony assault charges after allegedly attempting to poison some of his relatives.
Wayne Hasnohorse, 48, was arrested on warrant in Manchester on Wednesday on a Londonderry Police warrant.
Hasnohorse faces two charges of attempted first degree assault.
Det. Christopher Olson said that the suspect’s aunt and uncle reported their nephew had “allegedly made comments towards them regarding killing them by poisoning them.”
The following morning, the two victims, who police did not identify, reported that a pitcher of drinking water in their refrigerator had “a strong chemical odor.”
The water pitcher was later taken to the Londonderry Fire Department, where a water sample test revealed traces of an unknown chemical compound.
Police later learned that Hasnohorse had been attempting to purchase a bus ticket out of the state shortly before his arrest.
Olson said Hasnohorse refused bail and he is currently being held at Rockingham County Jail
He will be arraigned in the Derry Circuit Court on Aug. 7 at 9:30 a.m.
