Merrimack motorist accused of having fake inspection sticker

MERRIMACK — Police arrested a motorist for allegedly displaying a fake N.H. inspection sticker.

On Thursday, a police officer pulled over Jonathan Lyon, 52, of 15 Beacon Drive about 4:30 p.m. on Baboosic Lake Road for what appeared to be a forged inspection sticker on the windshield.

The officer noticed that the orange color of the August inspection decal did not appear to match either the 2013 or 2014 stickers. Police said it appeared to be a paper copy of an original sticker.

Lyon was arrested and charged with one count of forged inspection sticker. He was released on $750 personal recognizance bail pending an Aug. 28 arraignment in 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack District Division.
