Teen among those killed in RV collision

STODDARD — Police have yet to identify the third victim — a 16-year-old girl — who died in a head-on crash on Route 9 in Stoddard on Saturday.

The accident took place about 2:13 p.m. near the intersection with Route 123, New Hampshire State Police said.

The girl was a passenger in a 2010 Honda Accord driven by Mary Newton, 54, of Greenfield, Mass. The car crossed over into the eastbound lane, into the direct path of a 1974 recreational vehicle.

Both Newton and the girl died from their injuries.
Also killed was Dulce Marie Campo Perez, 68, of West Melbourne, Fla., a passenger in the RV. The driver of the RV — Edgar Fountain, 83, of West Melbourne, Fla. — suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The investigation is being handled by the state police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit, along with assistance from New Hampshire State Police, Troop C Barracks.

Police said it does not appear that drug or alcohol were factors in the accident.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Trooper Bryan Plamondon at 223-4381 or by email at
