Little League: Goffstown wins

Conor O’Connell drove in four runs as Goffstown Little League beat Fairfield American, Conn., 4-2, Sunday night in the New England Little League Regional tournament in Bristol, Conn.

 

 

Derek Steckowych pitched four innings for Goffstown, allowing one run. O’Connell had three hits for Goffstown. Connor Hujsak pitched the final two innings for the New Hampshire state champions.

 

 

Goffstown evened its record to 1-1 in regional play. The team will play its third game tonight at 8 p.m. against Rhode Island champion Cumberland American. The team’s final game in round robin play will be Wednesday.
