NAACP head explains endorsement of white UNH professor over conservative black candidate

PORTSMOUTH — NAACP Seacoast President Purnell “Fred” Ross said Monday night that he did not endorse state Sen. David Watters D-Dover, on behalf of the organization. Ross has come under fire since his letter to the editor expressing personal support of Watters was published in Foster's Daily Democrat on July 17.
