Arrest made in Hanover assault

HANOVER — A Lebanon man was arrested in connection with an assault last month on a 53-year-old Lebanon man who suffered a head injury.

Sean M. Merrihew, 23, was arrested Monday on a second-degree assault charge in connection with the July 27 assault on Mark Cookson on West Wheelock Street.

Merrihew assaulted Cookson after an argument, police said.

Merrihew is free on $1,000 personal recognizance bail, pending arraignment Sept. 15 in 2nd Circuit Court - Lebanon District Division.
