The candidate said the “New Hampshire Speaks” event will focus on illegal immigration. Each meeting will feature a question-and-answer session.
Rubens will address the Advancing Youth Engagement and Leadership program at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester.
Shaheen was making stops along the Connecticut River valley Monday. She was scheduled to visit River Valley Community College in Claremont to highlight job training programs.
Her office cited the importance of the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training Grant Program, which provides institutions with the resources to partner with local companies and deliver career training programs that can be completed in two years or less.
Shaheen’s schedule also had a stop at Pro-Cut International in West Lebanon, to highlight expanding trade and exporting opportunities to help small businesses expand and create jobs, according to Shaheen’s office.
Former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith’s campaign issued an email blast over the weekend, saying he is the only U.S. Senate candidate to have taken the “Taxpayer Pledge,” the pledge that Americans for Prosperity-NH rolled out last week.
Smith was scheduled to be among the candidates speaking last night at the Nashua Area Federation of Republican Women candidates’ night.
