Mass. residents accused of using fake IDs at Nashua DMV

PIMENTEL

ALVARADO

NASHUA — Two Peabody, Mass. residents are under arrest, accused of trying to obtain New Hampshire driver licenses using fake documents.

Jose Miguel Alvarado, 25, and his accomplice, Leisa Yarelis Tejeda Pimentel, 24, were arrested Tuesday by NH State Police at the Nashua office of the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Police said Alvarado used a false identity and fraudulent documents in an attempt to obtain a NH driver’s license. Alvarado was arrested on multiple counts of tampering with public records and unsworn falsification.

Troopers are still trying to ascertain Alvarado’s true identity.

Pimental also was arrested for multiple counts of tampering with public records, unsworn falsification and conspiracy to commit unsworn falsification.

Police said Pimentel also used a false identity and fraudulent documents in order to obtain a NH driver’s license after illegally entering the country from the Dominican Republic.

Alvarado is being held without bail, pending arraignment Wednesday in 9th Circuit Court-District Division-Nashua.

Pimentel is detained on $5,000 bail. She, too, is to be arraigned Wednesday in Circuit Court.

Anyone with information concerning Alvarado’s true identity or the case is asked to call NH State Police Sgt. Andrew Player at 223-8778.
