McIntyre Ski Center in Manchester seeks $250K for repairs, upgrades

August 08. 2014 8:01PM

The McIntyre Ski Center is seeking the $250,000 loan to make repairs and upgrades to its chair lifts, improve its snow-making capacity, and make other infrastructure improvements. The loan would be added to the balance of $1.6 million bond the city issued to fund the construction of the lodge when it agreed to transfer operation of the ski area to local business partners. In a letter to the buildings committee, Finance Director Bill Sanders noted that the ski center had kept up on its payments, about $190,000 annually, to the city on the previous loan.
