Driver seriously injured in Milford single-car accident

MILFORD — A serious accident on the Route 101 bypass in Milford Friday morning sent two people to the hospital and one was later flown to a Boston hospital due to severe injuries.

Milford police responded to a report of a one car accident on the Route 101 bypass, just west of Osgood Road to find a 2001 Ford pickup truck rolled over.

The truck, driven by Shane S. Gaspar, 18, of Milford, was headed west and lost control and rolled over, coming to rest just off the westbound side of Route 101.

A juvenile passenger and Gaspar were thrown from the vehicle upon impact.
Both were transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. Gasper was later med-flighted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston due to the seriousness of his injuries. His status is unknown.
The juvenile passenger was expected to be released from the hospital on Friday.

The Milford Fire Department and Milford Ambulance Services responded and Milford Police Department’s TAR Unit was called to investigate, resulting in the eastbound lane being closed for about an hour Friday afternoon. The investigation continues.
Anyone with any information on the accident is encouraged to contact the Milford Police Department at 603-249-0630.

The bypass has a history of severe and deadly accidents over the years.
