Ex-employee of Merrimack company charged with threatening

MERRIMACK — A man police arrested after he allegedly threatened an employee where he used to work is facing problems concerning his immigration status.

Sergio DeBrito, 33, of 12 Back River Road, Merrimack, was arrested Monday on charges of criminal threatening and criminal trespass.

Police said DeBrito, an ex-employee of Precision Stone, 20 Star Drive, unexpectedly showed up Friday at the business. He allegedly became argumentative and threatened to harm an employee as well as the employee’s family.

He intially refused to leave the property when asked, police said, but left without further incident.

During the investigation police discovered DeBrito is not a legal U.S. resident and the U.S. Department of Immigration, Customs and Enforcement was contacted.

DeBrito was arraigned Tuesday on the misdemeanor charges in Circuit Court-Nashua District Division and was being held on $5,000 cash bail. ICE is handling the residency issue.
