Retail store robbed on Manchester's West Side

MANCHESTER -- Police are searching for a masked man who robbed Metro PCS on the city's West Side just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said the man robbed the clerk at gunpoint at the store at Amory and Cartier streets and then fled east toward Amory Street, getting into a white Ford Escort being driven by another man and with a female passenger.

The robber is described as a white man in his mid-20s with dirty blond hair. The clerk told investigators she could not give a more detailed description because the robber was wearing a black mask. He also wore a dark gray or black T-shirt and jeans.

The white Ford Escort had Massachusetts license plates containing at least three letters in the pate.

Anyone who sees the car or who has information concerning the robbery is asked to call police at 603-668-8711.
