Brown, in Nashua, blasts Obamacare
“The business mandate is coming into effect after the election,” Brown said Tuesday at a town hall-style meeting in Nashua focusing on “Obamacare.”
Not everyone in the audience of about 45 people agreed.
Brown, a former Massachusetts senator now living in Rye, has said public opposition to “Obamacare” inspired him to run for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. Employers, he said, are worried about keeping their work forces at levels to lessen the impact of the law.
In Nashua, he compared the law to the bureaucratic disfunction of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Hatch, who says she will likely support U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., said she came to the meeting to question Brown on the act and raise a point about Republicans who have worked to stymy the law.
