HOLLIS — Police said no one was injured when an elderly man drove his car into a police cruiser in the breakdown lane of Route 101A about 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Officer Joseph Wallent had another vehicle pulled over and was about to get out of his cruiser when it was struck on the driver’s side front end by a Toyota Avalon driven by Paul Hackel, 84, of Bellingrath Place in Nashua. The emergency lights on the cruiser were on.
The police department issued a news release reminding drivers they are required by state law to move over for stopped emergency personnel.
