Nashua physician under investigation by Board of Medicine

CONCORD - The New Hampshire Board of Medicine Tuesday said a Nashua physician who was granted a license Jan. 8 to practice medicine in New Hampshire has agreed to stop practicing medicine, writing prescriptions or treating or seeing patients, until he has contracted with the New Hampshire Physician's Health Program and has received written clearance to resume practice from both the health program and the board.Dr. Conor Shea, whose practice as an internist is listed at 168 Kinsley St., previously practiced in Illinois, where he received his medical degree in 2004 from Rosalind Franklin University and did a residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital there from 2004-2007.He then practiced in Illinois and his Illinois license is active through 2014.

Shea acknowledges in a preliminary agreement with the board that he is under investigation, but admits no violations of the laws regarding physicians and surgeons, or any other law, statute or regulation.
