Rimmon Heights honors Manchester Community Policing Division

MANCHESTER — Police Chief David Mara and members of the department’s Community Policing Division were presented with the Rimmon Heights Neighborhood Champion award Thursday night at the group’s monthly meeting and ice cream social.

Group leader Diane Lavigne thanked the chief and members of the division for their continued neighborhood support and efforts during the past year.

Members of the Community Policing Division attend monthly crime watch and neighborhood meetings.

Existing groups interested in having an officer attend a monthly meeting, or people interested in starting a new neighborhood group can contact Officer Mark Ampuja at 792-5431.
