The Harrisburg Senators built a 5-0 lead and then held on late to defeat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5-3 in front of 5,228 fans at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium Monday night.

Earlier in the evening, the Fisher Cats completed a 9-7 win over Harrisburg, resuming a game that was suspended in the 12th inning on July 27. The teams meet tonight at 6:35.

Felipe Rivero pitched six scoreless innings for the Senators in the 5-3 win and third baseman Matt Skole went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs.

New Hampshire (64-71) tried to climb back into the game in the seventh, scoring three runs.

Andy Burns led off with a double off relief pitcher Derek Self and Brad Glenn moved Burns over with a flyout. Sean Ochinko reached on an error, which also scored Burns. Kevin Nolan flied out, but Michael Crouse hit a two-run home run to make it 5-3, but that was as close as New Hampshire would get.
