Synthetic drugs prompt action in Concord

CONCORD — New Hampshire Sen. Molly Kelly, D-Keene, will head up a special legislative committee formed to grapple with problems associated with synthetic drugs like spice.

Kelly was selected as chairman of the four-member Committee on Synthetic Drugs, which held its inaugural session Wednesday. It drew testimony from law enforcement and health experts.

“Synthetic drugs are confronting communities, law enforcement, doctors, and parents with real challenges,” Kelly said in a prepared statement.
